Nameless Land is a post-apocalyptic pen and paper Roleplaying Game, set in a future in which humanity has declined and a great war has resulted in the destruction of most of Earth. Nameless Land RPG: Setting
We are in the year 2365, three centuries after the nuclear warheads laid waste to our planet, giving birth to a new society focused solely on survival. This was followed by a series of catastrophic events, which had at their heart a desire for conquest, that culminated in the reactivation of armies of biomachines and the complete collapse of the already feeble balance of the world: new great cities were built while others were destroyed as a direct consequence of the scourge that now afflicts these lands, as man breathes in misery while struggling to survive and wandering adventurers brave the radioactive sands to seek out answers during the death rattles of a dying world.
Head into the silent cities of the Old World, where specters of the past await hidden among the shadows of the cement husks. Traverse the sands contaminated by the scourge of mutation, which gives the flesh of humankind new organic structures. Draw upon the scrap of the post-atomic era to assemble utensils and instruments of death which will prove invaluable to face the arid lands and the misshapen beasts inhabiting them.
Wander in search of food, water and shelter for the night, or take refuge in a settlement, the last strongholds of a society that is rapidly fading into memory. Prepare to face the perverse abominations of the Beyond, the parallel dimension that wants to corrupt and doom our reality. Nameless Land RPG: Game System
The gameplay system, which uses percent dice, is aimed at giving you an enormous variety of personalization options, ranging from character creation to combat, the latter being particularly rich with tactical depth. The rules take into account every single aspect of survival in a post-apocalyptic world, from sustenance (food and water) to the amount of radiation that an organism absorbs, which ultimately results in mutations developing.
As for the subject of character personalization, every survivor can choose 5 playable ethnicities (each with their upsides and downsides), 12 interchangeable masteries with unique level progression, an order, a religion, and, obviously, their equipment.
Equipment includes a vast assortment of weapons, armors, toolkits, chemicals, biomechanical implants, and vehicles – but also comes with crafting rules that allow the creation and modification of objects (be it a simple pistol or a whole truck) by using scraps and junk. Have you always wanted a shoulder pad made out of a tire? Or maybe your baseball bat just doesn’t have that extra oomph and you want to spruce it up with a buzz saw? All of that and much more is allowed: the only limit is your ingenuity.
