That\u2019s why I decided to <strong>share them with you<\/strong>, not as an industry professional, but as a worker. In theory, it\u2019s a <strong>process where we present an idea<\/strong> (in this case, a game) to the public, asking for their support to make it real. Depending on how much they pledge, <strong>backers receive rewards<\/strong>. You might think: \u201cthe game.\u201d Not necessarily.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Offering the game as part of the reward has become the norm, but it makes campaigns <strong>feel like a store or a preorder<\/strong> system. The truth is that crowdfunding is supposed to be about funding a game, not buying it. That\u2019s partly true, but not the whole story.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Success is <strong>the sum of many factors<\/strong>, and aesthetics or mechanics are rarely the most decisive. Every campaign comes <strong>down to calculated elements<\/strong>: paid advertising, targeted audiences, carefully chosen words and images, and a strong community.<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Crowdfunding <strong>isn\u2019t a magic well: it\u2019s math<\/strong>. Because those numbers, as impressive as they look, <strong>don\u2019t reveal transparency<\/strong>, product quality, or company stability. <strong>They can even be \u201cbuilt up\u201d<\/strong> or skewed. And yet, they remain powerful: they fuel backer confidence and give creators something concrete to show.<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">The problem is, in chasing those numbers, many creators make <strong>promises they can\u2019t be sure they\u2019ll keep<\/strong>, or add rewards that eat into production costs. Backers aren\u2019t buying: they\u2019re supporting. They\u2019re giving money for something that doesn\u2019t exist yet.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">That means they need (and deserve) security, transparency, and honesty.
